Bahr Dar University Textile Buildig

The Bahir Dar University Textile Department Building project is a multi-structure institutional development designed to support academic and healthcare functions within the university campus.

Constructed by Samson Gebreyohannes Building Contractor (SGBC) and designed by Building Design Enterprise (BDE), the project includes three G+4 academic buildings and one clinic facility, forming an integrated educational and service complex.

The academic buildings are designed to accommodate classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, and student service areas, while the clinic provides essential healthcare support for the university community.

The construction involved reinforced concrete structural systems, modern architectural finishes, and functional layouts tailored for institutional use. Special attention was given to durability, ventilation, natural lighting, and circulation between buildings.

With a total project cost exceeding 1.6 Billion Birr, this development demonstrates SGBC’s capacity to deliver multi-building institutional projects with coordinated planning and execution.

The project stands as a strong example of SGBC’s ability to collaborate with consultants and deliver complex university infrastructure projects to required standards.
